My Orem "To Do" List

I am a list maker. Here is a list of things I would like to see happen in Orem. Many are already "in the works" and I am excited to see them come to fruition.

My Orem "To Do" List:

1. Continue to work toward having all neighborhoods be desirable neighborhoods.

2. Remain fiscally strong and responsible, especially during these hard economic times.

3. Adopt transportation plans that reflect not just automobile travel, but pedestrian, bicycle and mass transit.

4. Continue developing strong relationships with UVU and neighboring communities.

5. Remain Utah Valley's economic core.

6. Keep working toward creating facilities that enhance Orem's quality of life.

I am not running for a fourth term, but a third term

An article in today's Daily Herald states I am running for a fourth term. I am running for a third term. I believe the incorrect information stems from the city website which I found had the incorrect number of terms. The fact I was appointed to fill a vacancy (for one year) confused things, I think. The web information should be fixed soon.

My Campaign Website

My campaign website, www.karen4council.com will be up soon. In the meantime, if you go there, it will redirect you here.

Off and Running!

I filed for re-election today. My preparatory work has been keeping me busy. Campaigning is coming back to me. I am looking forward to becoming better acquainted with my opponents and running a hardworking, fun campaign.
